Getting started

Do I need any experience to start?

None at all. Most of our students walk in with zero background. Every program is built to bring total beginners along from day one.

How do I get started?

Book a free intro class. It's your first class on us, with no cost and no pressure. Come watch or come train, and we'll help you find the right program.

What happens at my first visit?

We'll show you around, introduce you to your instructor, and get you on the mat or seated to watch, your call. Then we'll talk through the best fit for you or your child. Plan for about 30 to 45 minutes.

What should I wear and bring?

Comfortable workout clothes and a water bottle. That's it. We'll provide any gear you need for your first class.

Programs and ages

What ages do you teach?

Everyone from age four through adults. Little Dragons is ages 4 to 6, Beginner Kids is 6 to 12, Teens is 12 to 17, and Adults is 18 and up.

What martial arts do you teach?

Our style is a blend of Muay Thai kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, wrestling, Judo, and real-world self-defense, taught at a level that fits each age and experience.

Do you put teens in with adults?

No. We're one of the only dojos in Marin with a dedicated teen program, so teens train with their peers and only join the adult classes when they're truly ready.

Do you help kids who are dealing with bullying?

Yes. Our Beginner Kids program includes a Bully Defense Program that helps kids handle conflict with confidence. You can read more on the Beginner Kids page.

Membership and pricing

How much does it cost?

One simple membership, $269 a month, covers your full program year-round. No tiers and no upsells. You can see the details on our Join Our Dojo page.

Is there a contract?

No long-term contract. Memberships are month to month, and you give 30 days notice to pause or cancel.

Can I freeze my membership?

Yes. If you travel or get injured, you can freeze or cancel anytime with 30 days notice, no penalty.

How often can I train?

Classes run year-round, and most members train two to three times a week. Come as often as your schedule allows.

Do you offer family or sibling discounts?

Ask us about family and sibling options when you book your free intro, and we'll walk you through what's available.

Classes and safety

Is martial arts safe, especially for kids?

Safety is built into how we teach. Students learn through controlled, supervised drills, and live sparring is only introduced much later, once someone has the skills and readiness for it.

Do beginners spar?

No. Beginners build skills through partner drills and controlled practice. Live sparring comes later, as students progress.

How long are classes?

Class lengths vary by program. Check the schedule for exact class times.
